Roger Federer won the third title in as many weeks, to finish the season plagued by uncharacteristic ups-and-downs on a high note.

The Swiss superstar overstepped his opponent, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga comeback in the second set, to defeat the French No.1 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-3, winning the record sixth ATP World Tour Finals.

Federer showed by far the most consistent and superb level of play throughout the season-ending finale, winning all 3 of his round-robin mathces, including the demolition of long-time nemesis, Rafael Nadal of Spain, 6-3, 6-0 last Tuesday.

It’s Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga again, meeting for the third time in two weeks, this time at the title match of ATP World Tour Finals.

The Swiss tennis master continued his way to the third straight title on Saturday, when he ousted Spaniard David Ferrer 7-5, 6-3 to reach the championship match ATP World Tour Finals, his 100th career final.

There are two more records to break for Roger Federer on Sunday, as he is on the way to win his 70th ATP Tour title, and sixth year-ending title, the all time record for the top eight players in the world.

“It’s obviously a special win for me,” admitted Federer, who will face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France in the final.

A superb Roger Federer spent just 81 minutes to clinch his first ever BNP Paribas Masters Title in an flawless style, ousting Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets, 6-1 7-6.

This title makes the 18th win at Masters Series Tournaments for Federer, currently fourth-ranked player in the world, only one victory behind Rafale Nadal record of 19 wins. In addition, it is the 69th title from 99 finals.

“I’m delighted with my performance today,” Federer, who sent a warning message to his main rivals at the ATP World Tour finals, with his brilliant play, said during the award presentation.

Federer now on holds a 12-match winning streak, winning Basel Title last week, and Davis Cup in September, when he arrives to the year-end finale in London next week.
