Breath-taking battles between the leading ATP players are now drawing the attention of tennis experts and fans across the world. Yet, in several years (or hopefully, a decade) the brilliant champions, like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Del Potro will retire, and I believe we need to take a look at those young guns, who will take over the top of the rankings some day.

Five tournaments, which ended last week, gave all the tennis fans across the world much a reason to cheer and be happy for their favorite players. Last week saw two successful title defenses, one sensational first-time champ, and of course, 71st title won by the majestic Roger Federer.

Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal clinched their 2011 ATP World Tour Awards, presented by Moët & Chandon. The outstanding ATP Players received their trophies, created by Tipperary Crystal, at the special on-court ceremonies, held between the matches of ATP World Tour Finals at О2 Arena in London.

Novak Djokovic was honoured as the highest-ranked player in the South African Airways 2011 ATP Rankings for the first time, following his almost flawless season, during which he won three Grand Slam titles and 5 Masters Titles.

Roger Federer received two trophies, winning Fans’ Favourite Award taking it for a ninth consecutive year, and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award being honoured for a seventh time in eight years.

Rafael Nadal was honoured to receive the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award. His charity, Rafa Nadal Foundation, is helping socially disadvantaged youngsters.
