As the first Grand Slam tournament of year started this week, I am trying to follow the live action as much as I can, but still can’t see all the matches. So, I decided to make photo reviews of the most interesting moments of the day for myself and all tennis lovers out there. Hope you’ll like it!

Petra Kvitova is probably the most-talked-about woman in tennis right now, after the mind-blowing breakthrough season, which ended yesterday with a historic Fed Cup win.
Paying a tribute to Czech’s super successful season, I have learnt 5 things about Petra Kvitova’ life that every tennis fan should know.
The Czech Republic clinched the first Fed Cup title in 23 years on November 6th, when Lucie Hradecka and Kveta Peschke defeated Russian pairing of Maria Kirilenko and Elena Vesnina 6-4, 6-2 to secure a dramatic 3-2 win over Russian Team in the final.
It is the first title since 1988 for the Czechs, when the Czechoslovakia team defeated the Soviet Union 2-1 in the epic final.
This victory is also milestone in a hugely successful season for Petra Kvitova, who won both of her singles matches, bringing key points to her team. former top-ten player Svetlana Kuznetsova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova managed to beat Czech No. 2 Lucie Safarova to get the final to the decisive doubles match.
Last week witnessed WTA Championships, $4,900,000 year-finale, and two ATP tournaments – in Saint Petersburg, Russia and Vienna, Austria.
It is interesting to note that the top favorites of both ATP Tournaments were – Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Janko Tipsarevic the players with high hopes to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals, and showing more than solid play in recent weeks.
In the final day of round-robin play at the WTA Championships, we saw three spectacular and dramatically different battles.
In the first math of the day, U.S. Open champ Samantha Stosur demolished, Li Na, Roland Garros winner, 6-1 6-0 to qualify for the semi-finals of the year-finale in Istanbul for the second year in a row.
