Best Pics From Australian Open Day 6
The sixth day of the action at the Australian Open 2012 featured several unexpected losses of the top-ranked players, a major sensation, and hot weather, while Lleyton Hewitt made us remember the good old days when he was on the top of his game. But well, let’s start from the very beginning,
Here is the new edition of my photo summary of the best mathces of the day at the first Grand Slam tournament of 2012.

Yes, its the 4th round of a Grand Slam for Ana again! We will see Ana Ivanovic up against Petra Kvitova on Monday.

Petra Kvitova played hide-and-seek with spectators during her third round match against Maria Kirilenko.

Maria Sharapova looked super-motivated during her third round win against Angelique Kerber. What do you think of her chances to win title this year?

The Russian 2008 Aussie Open Champion will next face Sabine Lisicki, who is also looking for a revenge for her Wimbledon loss last year.

Au Revoir, Marion… It was a bad day for Marion Bartoli, who was dumped out of the tournament by Zheng Jie of China.
On the men’s side of the tournament, it was a day of upsets for the seeds as well.

Last year’s sensation Milos Raonic failed in his bid to reach the fourth round for the second consecutive year, loosing to former No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt in four sets.

Hewitt, former finalist in Melbourne Pack, was the local hero again, but will face Novak Djokovic next.

Novak Djokovic shows no mercy to his opponents, crushing everyone on the way to defending his title here.

Jo-Wilfred Tsonga demonstrated some acrobatic moves in his match against Frederico Gil.

It was a three-hour drama, which ended up in tears sorrow and compassion to Gael Monfils for me and the spectators at the Margaret Court Arena, but the tournament ended early again for the talented Frenchman.

In the best result of his career, Mikhail Kukushkin ousted Gael Monfils in five sets to meet Andy Murray in the fourth round.

Andy will be sort of happy for not having to play against the always-tricky opponent, Monfils.
